Alfred’s World

As I’ve said, written about, and shot video about – my friend Alfred has an amazing life. He’s 73 and very active, more so than most 20 year old guys these days.

Recently he did the Baiyoke Sky Hotel Run Up in Bangkok, Thailand. It was an 84 floor climb, including 18 floors of running up the circular parking lot ramps.

The guy is a legend, I won’t stop saying it – despite his pleas to!

Here are some photos of Alfred enjoying life… and a brief description under each photo…

Southern Thailand charm... a basic dwelling and the simple things in life is what Alfred is all about.

Standing on the top of the 1,500 foot elevation peak of Ngorn Nak mountain in Tub Kaak, Krabi, Thailand. Alfred can do this climb in about 52 minutes. It's a very tough climb to do that fast in the heat of the day in southern Thailand!

Sunsets in the area where Alfred lives are amazing. Here’s one, and I don’t know where this was exactly, but either Krabi or Phang Nga in southern Thailand – I think.

Alfred loves photography, and he has an eye for it, most definitely.

Alfred at the top of Wat Tum Sua temple in southern Thailand - 278 meters elevation, about 900 feet. The climb is 1,256 steps and he can do it in just over 15 minutes to the top. He has done it 4 times in a row too!

Alfred bench pressing at a gym nearby.

Squats for quad strength.

I’ll add more photos as I get them. We’re supposed to meet up at the gym where he hits the heavy bag, that will be an interesting time. Will bring the video camera for that.

If you want to get in touch with Alfred, he can be reached by writing me here and I’ll give him your email address.

I am ashamed! my legs were killing me when we went up Marsden steps.
Showed the video to loads of people. A variety of responses but the common denominator is that your achievements are superhuman.
